Veterinarian Dr. Adcock

Dr. Jonathan Adcock

Dr. Jonathan Adcock was born in East Tennessee but grew up outside of Asheville, NC in Candler.  His love for veterinary medicine started at 8 years old after an action packed first day of volunteering at the local veterinary clinic.  He attended Montreat College where he played collegiate soccer before transferring to the University of Tennessee to complete undergraduate coursework and then his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation he worked at a high-volume clinic in Patrick County where the diverse caseload could see him fixing fractured bones, vaccinating puppies and kitten,s or tranquilizing an American Bison via a dart gun.  Shortly after arriving at Foothills Pet Healthcare Clinic and Carroll Vet Clinic he started to gain specialized training in orthopedic fracture repair, cruciate disease, and regenerative medicine.  He is working toward his certification in rehabilitation by the end of 2022.  In his free time, he can be found running on the beautiful trails of the Southeast and has completed the Grindstone 100 miler, Hellbender 100 miler along with other races in the United States and Scotland.  He has 3 border collies, 5 cats, 7 goats, 1 sheep, chickens, ducks and a goose whom he shares the farm with his Wonderful wife Rebecca.
